Why Mansio Group exists

In Portugal, thousands of healthy family businesses face the same quiet succession dilemma. Most resolve it through outright sale — losing the company's identity, watching long-standing employees laid off, often seeing what took a lifetime to build get dismantled within years. The conventional alternatives — sale to a competitor, sale to a fund, closure — do not serve every founder.

Mansio Group exists to provide a third path: an operational partnership that lets the founder step back from day-to-day involvement without selling, while preserving the identity, the team, and the way the business serves its customers.

Who is behind Mansio Group

Mansio Group is led by operators with deep experience building, scaling, and exiting businesses across real estate and services — including transactions with international acquirers in 2022. The combined operational track record covers more than fifteen years across founder-led companies and international groups in Portugal, Ireland, and Asia.

The team and applied technology are drawn from an affiliated AI consultancy that works with Fortune 500 clients on operational digitisation and AI strategy. The methodology — refined across enterprise engagements — has been adapted for the operational pace of established Portuguese SMEs rather than Fortune 500 enterprises.

We do not surface individuals on this site. The work is collective, the credentials are real, and the focus — here — is on partnership.

How we work

We commit to a small number of partnerships each year — typically two to four. The constraint is deliberate. Each business we partner with receives deep operational and technological investment for twenty-four to thirty-six months, not light-touch consulting.

The technology we build is specifically engineered for each partner business and the sector it operates in. We do not bring a generic SaaS product or a one-size-fits-all consulting framework. We bring engineering capacity and domain understanding applied to the specific operational realities of your business.
